Child Safety Standards

Last updated: March 6, 2026

WashedUp is committed to creating a safe environment for all users and has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or the exploitation of minors in any form. This page outlines our standards and practices for preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform.

Age Requirement

WashedUp is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We enforce this requirement during account creation. All users must provide their date of birth at onboarding, and accounts that do not meet the minimum age requirement are not permitted to use the platform.

Prohibited Content and Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on WashedUp and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to the relevant authorities:

  • Any content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors
  • Sharing, distributing, or soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
  • Grooming or any attempt to establish a relationship with a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation
  • Sextortion or any attempt to coerce, threaten, or blackmail involving minors
  • Any other conduct that endangers the safety or well-being of minors

Detection and Prevention

  • Age verification at signup. All users must confirm they are 18 or older during onboarding. We collect date of birth and reject underage users.
  • User reporting. Every profile, plan, and message on WashedUp includes a report function. Users can flag content or behavior that violates our policies, including any concerns related to child safety.
  • Content moderation. Reported content is reviewed and actioned promptly. Content that violates our child safety standards is removed immediately and the account is terminated.
  • Account termination. Users found to be in violation of these standards are permanently banned from WashedUp without warning.

Reporting to Authorities

WashedUp complies with all applicable child safety laws. When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material or exploitation, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline, as well as to relevant law enforcement authorities. We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations related to child safety.

How to Report a Concern

If you encounter any content or behavior on WashedUp that you believe may involve the exploitation or endangerment of a minor, please report it immediately:

  • In the app: Use the report button on any profile, plan, or message
  • By email: hello@washedup.app

All reports are taken seriously and reviewed promptly. You may also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline or contact local law enforcement.
