run things on washedup

washedup is where people in LA find things to do and people to do them with. the other half of that sentence is you: the people and businesses who make the things worth showing up to. there are two ways to run things here. most partners start with one, some grow into both.

which one is you?

  • you put on shows or experiences and want more people there: events.
  • you gather the same people again and again, a run club, a scene, a circle that keeps growing: start a community.
  • you're both, a business with a following that feels like a family: start with events, and let's talk about the rest.

the process (a real person, within a business day)

  1. 1.apply in the app or at washedup.app/creator/apply. it takes about three minutes: who you are, what you run, proof it's real.
  2. 2.a real person reads it, usually liz, and you hear back within a business day.
  3. 3.approved, you're in: set up your page, put on your first thing.

we're picky on purpose. a real person reads every application, and we only say yes to real people running real things.

why partners pick washedup

  • the friendliest math: communities are free, listing events is free, and the only time we ever take anything is when we sell a ticket for you. when that day comes, founding partners lock our cut at 4% flat, for life, plus standard card processing (2.9% + 30¢). that's the whole list, published, no surprises.
  • free is actually free. no plans, no publish fees, nothing gated.
  • reach that compounds: people who come to your event discover your community, join it, and get told about everything you do next.
  • and you're early. the partners who build with us now are the ones we build around.
