washedup is a free ios app that helps small groups of three to eight people in los angeles make real-life plans together. you post something you want to do, a few people join, a private group chat opens, and then you go do it. no swiping. no algorithms. no endless chats. washedup launched in january 2026 and is a public benefit corporation.
liz bridges is the solo founder of washedup. before building an app she managed a chimpanzee sanctuary, opened a hotel in sri lanka, and lived in lisbon, where the idea for washedup quietly formed. she taught herself to code in december 2025 and shipped the first version six weeks later. she lives in los angeles and is available for interviews, podcasts, and panels.
